If you didn't make it to Learn to Read's huge comeback Celebration of Success, you missed some huge victories. Credits to the students, tutors, and staff including Larissa Buccholz, Evelyn Miranda, and Lelia Duncan for a great effort. Students and tutors were honored with great achievements- job promotions, professional certifications, grade level changes and more. These students are serious and their tutors are geared to help them meet their goals.
I was delighted that they recognized one sponsor, the Jacksonville Public Library's Center for Adult Learning manager, Sharon Jaskula, as their Champion. She's the heart behind so much of what happens in adult literacy here in Jacksonville... Bravo all!
