On Tuesday August 31, 2010, the Jacksonville Public Library’s Center for Adult Learning is hosting Understanding ESL Programs K-12. Time and Place are:

Southeast Library Branch ■ 10599 Deerwood Park Boulevard ■ Jacksonville, Florida ■ 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

Ms. Nancy Martinez, a counselor with the Duval County Public School System, will discuss the ESL programs available through the school system in Duval County. Existing ESL students, interested ESL students, and newly settled refugees are welcome to attend. No reservations are necessary. Click here for directions.

JPL and CAL have organized the ESL Speaker Series aimed at helping ESL student groups with vital information. This is the first in a series that will be held at Jacksonville Public Library locations.
