Funding to State Libraries

“Access to knowledge is the superb, the supreme act of truly great civilizations. Of all the institutions that purport to do this, free libraries stand virtually alone in accomplishing this mission.” --Toni Morrison

Please visit the Florida Library Association's link today to learn more about the funding crisis. Use their feature that connects you with your representatives. We are urging the conference committee to restore the $21 million in state aid to avoid selected branch closures and library service interruptions statewide. Funding has already been cut by a third. Please share this on your Facebook page or email it to your associates.
